GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2024

  1. Our rentals are computed in periods of 24 hours counting from the delivery time scheduled in the reservation. The dates and times agreed in the rental contract will prevail.
  2. For rental periods of more than 28 days, consult special conditions at info@2mrentacar.merkadoweb.es
  3. In case of delay in the return of the vehicle or abandonment of it, the amount corresponding to the extended period will be charged according to the specific rate published on the web plus a surcharge of the price per day depending on the season until the recovery of the vehicle by the company, as well as the amount corresponding to the possible damages caused and the expenses caused by the recovery.
  4. The early return of the vehicle will not generate any refund.
  5. For operational reasons to review the vehicle, the lessor reserves the right to replace the vehicle at any time with another of similar characteristics, previously informing the Lessee.
  6. It is not allowed to rent, or be an additional driver, under the age of 21 or with a driver’s license less than 2 years old.
  7. It is not allowed to leave the national territory in any case nor the maritime transport of the vehicle.
  8. It is mandatory to present a registered credit card, whose holder must appear as the main or additional driver in the contract. The expiration of the card must be greater than 5 months at the time of signing the rental contract. 
  9. It is not allowed to appear as the main driver of more than one vehicle during the same period. Both the main driver and the additional drivers must be present at the time of delivery. 
  10. A valid driver’s license and identity document must be presented to collect the vehicle. The lessee who holds a driving license in non-Latin characters or issued outside the European Union must present a valid international driving license. Temporary driver’s licenses will not be accepted. 
  11. All prices are expressed in euros and include VAT.
  12. The models indicated in the reservations are always indicative. A model with similar or superior characteristics will be delivered. The extra items and pre-authorizations linked to the reservation will correspond to the group delivered in case it differs from the group initially reserved. 
  13. It is mandatory that the lessee always carries his copy of the rental contract in force during the duration of the same. The document must be carried visible in the vehicle at all times. If you fail to comply with this obligation, the lessor must assume the penalty and pay management expenses. 
  14. Smoking is not allowed inside the rental vehicle in accordance with Law 42/2010, which prohibits smoking in any collective space.
  15. The transportation of pets inside the rental vehicle is allowed, provided that a carrier is used.
  16. A valid return flight number will be required to formalize the contract. We reserve the right to require the boarding pass.
  17. As a guarantee against possible damages, a guarantee deposit (hereinafter pre-authorization) is required in the form of a block on the credit card of €300. Said guarantee deposit excludes management, recovery or other possible charges unrelated to damages to the leased vehicle. 
  1. In the event of replacement of the vehicle due to breakdown or accident, the client will be required a new pre-authorization of the amount corresponding to the new vehicle delivered.
  2. The coverage offered by 2M does not cover personal damage suffered by the lessee (PAI), nor personal effects left, stored or transported in the vehicle. Damage to windows, wheels (tires and rims), underbody, footboards, roof, interior, hood, keys, tray and antenna are not included in the insurance, nor are damages caused by poorly paved or unpaved roads, refueling with incorrect fuel, or damage or loss of accessory elements of the vehicle (such as triangles, vests, child seats, etc.) or property of the lessee. 
  3. In cases of breakdown caused by the driver’s negligence, the full amount of the repair will be charged, which may be higher than the amount blocked.
  4. Any coverage is subject to compliance by the client with the conditions detailed in the rental contract, including the presentation of a friendly part of the accident or complaint or police report within a period of less than 48 hours from the incident.
  5. Damages caused by the client not included in the contracted coverage will be charged to the card provided according to the table of values ​​of parts, working hours and repair time.
  1. Any insurance taken out from intermediaries does not imply the reduction of the excess or any coverage with 2M, being the client’s responsibility to claim any possible reimbursement of damages from the external company.
  2. Any vehicle witness that lights up during the rental period must be immediately notified to the office or to the designated Roadside Assistance channel, with the lessee being liable for any damages caused by breach of this obligation.
  3. It is prohibited to carry out any type of modification or repair to the rented vehicle without the express consent of 2M.
  4. Theft protection will only apply when the renter delivers the original set of keys and the original incident report document.

ITEMS, MILEAGE AND OTHER CHARGES

  1. Baby seat (0-13 kg; 0-15 months), subject to availability. 7€ x day.
  2. Child seat in the direction of travel (9-18 kg; 1-4 years), subject to availability. 7€ x day.
  3. High-back booster seat (15-36 kg; 4-12 years), subject to availability. 7€ x day.
  4. Booster seat (15-36 kg; 4-12 years), subject to availability. 5€ x day.
  5. Parking ticket for collection at the airport: up to €11 (regardless of the price of the delivery/return service at the airport).
  6. Transfers (delivery/return to hotel or requested address), check availability. 30€ / 45€ each way depending on distance. 
  7. Mileage policy: unlimited.
  8. Fee for management of fines: does not include the payment of the sanction. 30€ for each fine.
  9. Additional cleaning: when additional vacuuming or washing is required due to poor condition of the vehicle, presence of sand… 50€
  10. Special Cleaning: when a special cleaning is required derived from stains that cannot be washed with a normal cleaning cycle and/or may impair the immediate use of the vehicle by the next user. Smell of tobacco or presence of ashes, pet hair, stains on the upholstery…150€
  11. Special cleaning of child seats: 50€
  12. Loss of documentation: due to loss of the technical sheet, circulation permit or certificate of insurance policy. 20€
  13. Loss or breakage of security elements: vests, triangles… 90€
  1. Loss or breakage of child seats. Group 0+ (€180), Group 1 (€100), Group 2 (€100), Group 3 (€50) 
  2. Return of the vehicle in the wrong place (110€) or abandonment of it (190€). It does not include the possible costs generated by the recovery 
  3. Improper or unauthorized use: driving without due diligence, drivers not authorized by contract, maritime transport of the vehicle or leaving national borders. 300€
  4. Damage management fee 50€
  1. Roadside assistance not covered: Travel prices depending on the km of distance between the vehicle and the rental office and the type of on-site repair that is required.
  2. Damages not covered by the coverages included or contracted.
  3. All tenants and/or additional drivers will be jointly and severally liable for all the obligations of the rental contract, as well as for drivers not authorized by contract.

FUEL POLICY

  1. We deliver the vehicle with a certain amount of fuel and the lessee must return it in the same conditions. In case of missing fuel upon return, the amount of this will be charged to the customer, together with a management and refueling fee: 15€ 
  2. Any incident in the state of the vehicle’s tank upon delivery must be communicated by the client before leaving the facilities. No claim will be accepted later. 
  3. The fuel prices in force at the time of vehicle collection will be applied. 2M reserves the right to modify them following the fluctuations of the oil market. 

CANCELLATIONS, NO SHOWS AND EXTENSIONS

  1. Cancellations with a notice of less than 24 hours will entail the payment of 50% of the total value of the reservation by the client/agency, except for documentary justified cause.
  2. After 4 hours from the delivery time specified in the reservation without the client having picked up his vehicle, 2M will declare the reservation as no-show and release the reserved vehicle. Cancellations received with a period of less than 2 hours will also be considered as no-show. 
  3. Both no-shows and cancellations with less than 2 hours notice must pay 100% of the total amount paid to cover operating costs and lost profits.
  4. Any extension of a current reservation is subject to written confirmation of availability and price by 2M. All extensions will be made with the 2M TGV at the time it is requested. In addition, it requires the signing and payment of the new contract at the company’s facilities. 
  5. In case of cancellation of the reservation at the client’s request, any bank charge that this operation generates will be passed on by the company.
